Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

I'd kill you all for that JPS 635csi You could try but I'd already be in it, going sideways somewhere... ;D I've got some great videos of Aussie track action with them racing fox body Mustangs, Volvo turbos (Robbie Francovich sp?) and other assorted stuff. Gorgeous. That van is rather spesh too, trouble is with them now, whenever I see one I automatically look at it with a giant price tag attached, and that blights my view.

There's just about always a JPS 635 racing at the CSF (Classic Speed Festival) infact at the Dunedin round (SFOS, Southern Festival of Speed) last year, Richards raced in his old car or at least one similar.

Back around 1987 a mate in Sydney bought a JPS 6 series race car...for about 2 grand,There was sting in the tail of course. It was a body shell that had been used in a "simulator" fair ground ride. You paid some money and sat in the car while a screen showed Bathurst in front of you and you drove it like a primitive computor game. It was fitted with roll bar etc etc so it looked real and was even painted in the full racing livery. This is what Jim Richards champ wining car of 1985 looks like today, still the dogs danglers!!! Oh yeah,it was Robbie Francevic in the Volvo,a very special car which went back to Sweden ( never to be seen again) after the end of the season but it helped sell thousands of cars in OZ.

In the JPS635 pic there is a dude explaining to his girlfriend something along the lines of: "see that car? <insert trainspotting detail here>"
I'm sure he gets dragged along to craft shows so it probably balances out.
