Ive got a green mk1 eunos with tan leather and I want to paint it as I'm not a fan of BRG! but I'm not sure what colour to go for!! My first thought was a sort of 'Teenage Dirtbag' copy ish! then I thought about satin black with orange 15" 5 spoke's and orange mirrors, also thought about a gloss grey with the wheels done in satin black?? Fav colour is yellow, But I don't like yellow cars!! I do like the blue of the first picture but not sure what it would look like with tan leather?

Colours that go well with a tan interior, in my opinion, are... Off-white. I think pure white is too stark a contrast.  Black and Gold. This is a good colour combo on an MX5 too.  Metallic/pearlescent reds and coppers.  The black and gold would be my favourite out of the above, but I'm rather partial to black and gold. |

i recon white.... or red.... or black- i couldnt choose one colour!  there again... i have had naughty thoughts- i really like very pale blue with th eodd orangey bit ala Gulf colours, but maybe red instead of orange. have seen a few new citroens knocking about  this blue- i reckon would look ace, also with lighter colours be less likely to show every small dent or mark but there again- audi nimbus grey has always been on my want list  |

That Citroen has to be sporting the contemporary version of a 70s vinyl roof... whether or not they'll be as well remembered remains to be seen, of course.

I wouldn't let the interior colour dictate what colour you repaint it, if the Tan is in good shape, you should be able to sell it easy enough and cover the costs of getting a black interior. But if your going to go for a stock MX5 colour, I'd sell yours and buy one in that colour (by the time you've shelled out to paint it, you'd be better off putting the into buy the 'right' coloured one) But there are many colours which work well on a MX. Are you looking to paint it your self or send it out (and whats the sort of budget?) I love satin painted MX's (I will build another PRU Blue Eunos ), but (seeing as you like to change your cars every now and again  ), they are harder to sell and go for less than a glossy one. A light grey would look nice on it  |

Another vote for white. Our old Eunos was white and looked better than any other colour * *Opinion inserted here, not necessarily correct |

I too was going to suggest brown (a nice chocolate brown, not unlike the one in Rmads pic) but seeing as it's already been suggested, I am going to go slightly leftfield and suggest tan/sand! Desert sand paint with a tan interior would look pretty amazing I reckon and the more I think about it, the better it looks in my mind. If I was doing the Dirtbag again, I would almost certainly consider doing it this colour.  If the shade is lighter than the interior it would work even better IMHO. Food for thought..... |
