My brain can't compute that it's FWD. Glad am not the only one! just seems vaguely wrong, and not in a good way (to me) that something that large & obvious american can be FWD
Think FWD as in Cord 810/812 instead of FWD as in VW Golf/Rabbit. A big, low slung, roomy land yacht with an exotic powertrain layout. The original '66 Toro even looked the part. Sadly it had lost most of its distinction by '78. still a neat ol' car, though. My gut feeling also says fix your '68 Fury, but I ain't one to talk about dragging home too many projects ;D Brian

Eeew, snow and Fury? No chance. Rusting the poor thing to pieces and having idiots bouncing their Toyotas off it?
I avoid driving in snow if at all possible anyway.
I really like the idea of taking an early Toronado and making it into a fairly-well-handling European style GT coupe in a kind of pro touring vibe
