...an Oldsmobile Toronado... Sadly not the XS model with the ridiculous greenhouse rear window, nor the T-Top model But the fairly silly Brougham half vinyl top, 403 V8 FWD luxury coupe barge jobber. you can even drive them in the rain look

The problem I have is 2 of my cars are elsewhere and I look out over the seemingly empty drive and the urge rises.
Its T&T...
It would be a good "winter car" what with FWD
erm
My "justification" is that if I buy it cheap I can maybe flip it on for a profit after tidying it up a bit... This argument falls apart a little when you consider the market for big block FWD 70s coupes is probably, erm, me.

It would be a good "winter car" what with FWD Perfect excuse justification. Love these things, don't they have two massive chains that transmit drive to the front wheels.

As I understand the transaxle there is a chain connecting the output shaft of the trans (which is longitudinal) to the driveshafts. Its not a unique design feature, several 4WDs use chains in the transfer cases so I believe.

As somebody who is basking in the satisfaction of being about to finish* a project that's been sat around going nowhere for years...
You do NOT need another dead wood smoker cluttering up your drive... get on the Fury!
* In reality Ant (Tom Jones) has done most of the work, but I still basking.

It's the third time I've seen this on Ebay, although it is a different seller this time. First time it was up with a £2k buy it now and I was tempted to go have a look myself as it looks quite tidy. Then it came up again at £1500 and now a grand so I'd be concerned it's nowhere near as good as it looks. Pimpin barge though.
Oh yeah... get on with the tat you already have! That's where I've gone wrong over the last ten years or so... constantly buying new tat to tinker with. Now, I'm trying to get some of my existing projects finished. And with that, I'm back of out into the workshop to do some more welding on my Mk1 Civic...

I've reconsidered. You can buy an Olds Toronado but only if it is this one.

The Hurst Hairy Olds is only part Toronado. The body is a Cutlass.
