BMW 328i Touring Manual.
Tax – 09/12
MOT – 12 Months
Mileage 136,00ish – (will double check when I’m at the workshop later).
Right guys, it’s with a heavy heart I’m doing this but my Touring has to go. A car has come up for sale that I’ve sworn I’ll have and I must have it. First of all that is the reason for sale, this car is awesome and I love it long time. Its got a huge boot, hauls extra amounts of tat and I can sleep in the back stretched out as found out at several car shows/gatherings.
It’s quick enough but still manages aroundabout 30mpg combined if you don’t drive it like too much of a t**t. It has a factory fitted LSD fitted, along with FK coilovers which are still in good shape and not seized up. Gr8 4 Driftin!
Climate control works beautiful, electric windows all round, full closure remote central locking works great. Split rear tailgate which also works off the key. ESP works fine, ABS is good. Cruise control works, CD changed and sound system all good. Heated electric wing mirrors all good. Self-darkening rear view mirror works spot on. No warning lights on, nothing left doing on the car as far as mechanicals go.
Brakes are good with loads of life left in them. Had a brand new calliper fitted a couple of months ago at the front, and the other side checked and deemed good. New radiator, new power steering pump, new water pump, new clutch, decent second hand duel mass flywheel, new clutch slave, and a load of other stuff that I can’t remember off the top of my head. Decent new Exide battery fitted as well. The correct one for the car as well. ‘New’ good gearbox also about to be fitted – car will have this on when sold.
I have only owned it since August 2010, and in that time it has had two full services, with every single filter changed (oil, air, pollen, fuel) and new plugs and new fluids every time. This is what happens when you have easy access to a ramp and evenings free!
It’s had an EGR delete as well, as everyone knows EGR are gay and EGR deletes are AWESOME.
Oh yeah correct shortened droplinks were used with the coilovers. Will come with the original suspension (which has a new rear pair of springs and a new pair of front standard droplinks – d’oh) so can be made family friendly.
The car can go one of two ways. Right now it is sitting at the workshop with the gearbox out currently halfway through a soild-mass flywheel conversion and the previously stated new clutch and new gearbox (well new to the car, a spare good one I had from a previous m52 engine of mine). I can either bolt it back together with a standard new clutch for the new buyer, decent flywheel and decent gearbox. Or I can finish the conversion with all the necessary machining. The necessary e30 flywheel, starter and clutch are already here so it’s absolutely no bother either way.
Bad Stuff – All cars have them and this one is no different however they are all cosmetic. Absolutely no mechanical oily bits are wrong.
The front wings are gone on this thing. Like proper gone. I can get a new pair at trade price for the next buyer these will be no more than £50 from Euro. I know that as it’s something that I have looked into.
There is a nasty area on the passenger side where the paint has come away from the bodywork from arch modification to get the hamann’s to fit. I will get a picture of it when I’m at the workshop. It’s not hideous but it’s not good either, never really bothered me.
Rear bumper has a hole in it where the mad tight ‘rear box’ on the car has burned through it. I have the standard rear box in the car and can put it on same time I do the clutch this week.
Drivers window regulator is a bit stiff which is annoying – again if it’s a deal braker I can supply with a new motor and regulator – this is no biggie for me.
That’s it for bad stuff.
Wheels-wise it will come with the brown style 66 sport wheels. That’s 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears. Although the rear arches can accommodate the 10inch wide Hamann rears. WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE SALE!!
Can’t think of more stuff to say so if you have any questions ping me a pm.
The car will be getting put back to standard clutch and flywheel by this Saturday 14th April so if you want the solid mass or if you want it as a kit drop me a shout before then.
I’ve priced this pretty fairly, so please don’t ask what I’ll take without coming and seeing the car first or turning up with some cash monies.
