iv always loved those train grab handles that those kerrazy japanese love to put on the back of their cars and now that iv got a japanese car on the way i can put one on myself!
where would i get one from? iv looked on ebay US and UK and even had a go at ebay japan and if found nothing, nada, zilch!
also someone asked me what it was all about and all i came up with was "its a japanese thing". so what are they all about? is there a reason or is it just cos it looks cool?

eBay Japan!?! No such thing! I don't think you can actually BUY them, as I understand the point of having them is the bozuku gangs steal them off trains.
I think I'm right?

Like this one on Rmads Cressida at CARS (Apoligies if it's not Rmads or a Cressida, I have a poor memory ) Not sure where you get them but the Tokyo subway company are missing a trick though, they should sell them on the net, they would make a fortune I don't think that one was stolen, pretty sure it was gotten legit when Hotwire/DarrenW went to Japan.

That'll be HoTWire's Datsun, and it was RMad that went to Japan, not I ;D I'm sure HW will be along at some point, but it was apparently a gift from one of the people he spent time with over there.

Looks like part of a harness to me really. Maybe try a stable or one of those "specialty" shops?

Why not put a UK twist on it..... by ripping off one of those 'monkey hangers' they have on the Tube (District Line trains)..... no one will care too much as all the trains are getting re-rurbed anyway.

Wouldn't be too hard to make out of a bit of old belt and a curtain ring surely?

my plans may be foiled (2 times in one day, what are the odds?) there doesnt appear to be anywhere to attatch it to. not even on the front. ill take a closer look when the car is in my posesion (this isnt mine below, just for illustrative purposes)

Yeah they come from the trains in Japan,.. as far as I know the only one in the UK is currently attatched to my car. It was a gift from a friend in Japan,.. freshly stolen I believe.. UK twist would be a good idea... failing that get out to Japan and take a screw driver
