Lovely stuff, especially that Ital. The Nova on orange steels looks like an interesting thing.

It was pretty eclectic. In a good way. A lot of standard stuff, a lot of modded, and a few WTF?!
An old lady in a Micra wiped out an lad on a classic motorcycle combination just before we arrived. Hope the dude was ok.

Was a good turnout and pretty diverse,
Was talking to the chap with the Nova saloon on bike cabs well executed all the greasy were new / overhauled carbs set was very well engineered. Didn't catch his name, good crack and as for paint I did subjest stone chip top to bottom..........
Cars of the show for me were Mk1 Polo,Frog eye sprite and the Mint coloured Bedford Camper............

Didn't know Billy Bragg was so fond of '60s yank pickups?

Wow, wow and another wow. There's nothing there that makes me think "Nah, don't fancy that". Great shots too, especially the water reflections.
Wasn't there a thread a few days ago where a boy was moaning about there being no shows in the north?

We were there from 11:30 until 1:15.
I got the last sausage sarnie at about 12:30, so they only had bacon from then on.
I normally take more pics than that.

I must admit there were a few new cars on the block but one that caught my eye was that super clean red Chevette.

I always enjoy seeing photos from this get together. Except I am also always frightened by the prospect of someone slipping on the inevitably wet grass and ending up in that pool

Is there a story behind that Seth?? Not that I know of. Just always strikes me as one of those things that could happen.

Yes it is always a worry but everyone is VERY careful when parking and moving around the site. The event has been held for many years without a problem but no doubt one day something will happen.

Some lovely looking cars, particularly feeling the love for the blue mk 'Tina, Viva GT and GT6. However, I can't wait for the day that bubble arches, rally spotlights and 'mexico styling' become old news in the mk1 Escort modding camp.

I can't wait for the day that bubble arches, rally spotlights and 'mexico styling' become old news in the mk1 Escort modding camp. Don't hold your breath eh. That's like looking at a Mini and saying 'do you really need all those spotlights?'
