Cars are expressive, and whether that's because the human brain sees faces where there aren't any, or because we design them that way I couldn't say for definite... but it is fun finding the faces in cars. This is a bit of fun, and an opportunity to find some oddball stuff so hopefully I'm not crossing over into IBTL territory. Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite - Quite possibly the happiest car ever made. > - Angry, angry cars. Triumph Vitesse Buick Invicta (a favourite of mine, ideally in pink) D: - This is the only car I've found that looks so horrified at the world straight out of the factory. Reliant Regal - These always look apologetic to me. Mind you, I'd like to know more about this one. Morris Minor lowlight :0 - Seen something surprising over there I think. Lotus Elite 1958 Cadillac tail-light. Hopefully this won't end up generating a lot of cat pictures but will instead bring up some pretty interesting cars and bits of cars.

God, my Wife judges cars on thir "faces" she says my Golf has a "straight miserable face" whilst her Fiesta has a "happy face" Modern Peugeots look like they're laughing their taters off-

Mind you, I'd like to know more about this one. Built by 'Mother of God' from here, it's a lovely motor. Rover V8, lots of carbon panels etc... Sold to Ad (Heathy12) about 3 years ago, the car now resides just outside of Bristol. It's been featured in Retro Cars (not sure which issue) and has been to Area 52 a few times. It sounds lovely and really looks the part when on the move, as well as when stationary. I really ought to get in touch with Ad and try and take some shots of the car....but I know he's been a bit quiet since becoming a Dad.

I understand that Shintoism is a very animistic faith and one which suggests that everything, even inanimate objects, have some kind of soul or personality.
Hence why a lot of Japanese designs, have “faces”, especially stuff designed before Japanese designers spent time in Californian (and other) design schools.

I'm sure that I read a bit in MotorCycle News (MCN) a few years ago that Honda had designed a moped with a "face". Their reasoning was that human minds instinctively recognise a face as a face, and that drivers were more likely to spot a moped with a face.
However, I can't find anything about it at all - google-fu fail.

What?? Really?? The current Seat Ibiza is cheery at the front... ...but at night the rear has a pair of glowering red eyes. I can't find a pic with the lights on, but check it out if you come up on one in the dark.
