Hello all,
I have been reading this forum - it looks good.
I have always driven old cars - (4 x 2CVs, a Visa 17RD, BX 19RD, BX 19TZD, 2 x Xantia SX TD, CX 25 Pallas, Xantia Activa and XM CT Turbo). As you can probably tell, I like Citroen but also older Pug's and Renaults.
I recognise a few usernames on here from other forums.
Anyway, that'll do for me,
Rob

hello there I got a BX1.7 TZD, super cool car (wasnt expecting it to be!) spinning the wheels in second round dry roundabouts (BooOOOooOOoost). Now i really fancy a CX, they look crazy and apparently the diesels go pretty well too. I'm happy ive got over the fear complex thingy with the hydro suspension too. So what do you drive now? Some pictures would be muchos appreciated J

Yep, welcome.
I was also surprised by what a cracking car a BX TXD turned out to be...

Hi again,
Nice R4 and Dyane. The 2CV is lovely though - I really miss driving A series Citroens.
My current car is the XM turbo estate - smooth, fast and comfy but nowhere near as fun as the CX.
My Cx was a series 1 Pallas model with the 2.5 engine. It was a beautiful car to drive. I miss it a lot. I was very tempted to buy a tatty but MOT'd CX DTR Turbo 2 recently - the TD engine in them is fantastic - I decided to buy the XM instead.
The XM is getting new spheres in the morning - it should make it a very nice car to trundle about it. My BX's were great cars too. Very underestimated I think. My second one was the TZD and had the best seats I have ever sat in!
I found this site after browsing various older/clsasic car sites beause I have half an eye out for a GS/A or even a Renault 16.....
It's nice to see some older cars being appreciated and used by site members here.
I recently visited Melbourne - the number of very smart 60's, 70's and 80's European cars shocked me. A couple of really nice looking Alfa 33's caught my eye and several very tidy Rover P6 V8's.
Any Alfa drivers here? I like the look of the 33's, 155's and 75's. What are they like to own?

Hey, welcome, You may also be able to help me in my persuit of a BX or Xantia, next year some time, thats if you have not already on another forum. I fancy a BX 16v but they are hot property (£) with the help of the boy racers wanting to vulture the engines. I was too scared to even consider an XM and insurance takes an hike too, so respect due.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
