I have provisionally bought some wheels, and need to get them down to Essex.
I'm not worried if they go through several hands on the way down, not in that much of a hurry.
Can anyone help?

Yes, perhaps! I am going up to Gateshead tomorrow afternoon from High Wycombe, and then back down south again on Wednesday afternoon.

Ok, well I will be in Newcastle on Tuesday evening (around 8pm ish) and leaving Newcastle around lunch time on Wednesday. Ironically Panda Selecta emailed me about getting something from March for him and bringing it up. I said it was too much of a de-tour, but might look at it again, as it seems stupid to be going to his place! Having said that, March is well out of my way!  As for essex, I could meet you on the M25 on the way back (wednesday early evening) or take them back to my house in High Wycombe, and then they can complete the rest of the journey in someone elses hands. Ok, let me know what you are doing. I can meet you somewhere on Wednesday as long as it is after 5pm.

Yeah, will be after 5pm (or should be!), and likely to be around the junction of the M1 and the M25 (wherever is suitable).

Wheels are safely tucked away in the boot of my car! I will be back down 'Sarf' tomorrow and we can talk about the next leg at a later date.

They are currently living in my shed, near High Wycombe. Any takers for the next leg of the journey? Alternatively if you are going to A52 any time soon, you will be passing very near to my house as you travel round the M25!
