Hi I came accross a rover v8 with a gearbox for a steal price in january. so snapped it up. the engine and gearbox is hopefully making its way into my MG soon however just wondering if anyone on here can help me with a couple of things. I got told the gearbox was an lt77 gearbox is this correct? also what are the two pipes coming from the back of the gearbox? have never seen anything like this on a box before so thinking this could be from the 4x4 world. I have seen the different remotes that can be bought for these gearboxs can anyone point me in the right direction what sort of remote would be best for my aplication? Also anywere cheaper than ebay for the engine mounting brackets? Any help or know how would be apreciated \/ pictures of the bell housing markings, sorry there hard to make out will type them out tomorow, also gearbox and a piccy of engine for yourtroubles ;D
i was under the impression that the gears were the same just a different back end to the gearbox could be bought as it were. shall have a gander on ebay then and see what other boxs we can find
