Yey thats even better YES I'd some how want my kid to be involved in paying for a fraction of it or helping to build it learning along the way, and not get impatient with the little uns lack of skillorz. so long as they realy truly want it, that would be enough though. Land Rover FTW - look at their faces

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Exactly. I have seen something that my lad would like even more..... www.reallifetoys.com/He loves land rovers see But at £650+ for the kit, thats a lot of caboodle. I could get him his very own 'daddy size' one for that kind of dinara I'm sure you can buy the plans for them. Somebody advertises in the back of practical classics

Land Rover FTW - look at their faces I think thats a brilliant idea. Cos least it'll make it worth more to the kids if they've helped make it of paid towards it and they'll take better care of it and treat it with more respect

I'm not sure letting a 4 year old loose with a jigsaw is an entirely sensible idea though! ;D

From a very young age i was alowed free unacompanied use of all the power tools in the garage, once i could reach it i was allowed unsupervised use of the cross cut saw too!
It amazes me what my parents used to let me do ;D
As for j40's, they are out there. I bought one for £25 that i saw in someones back garden, it was complete but had been outside all its life so wasnt in the best condition. I sold it to my folks for £150 and they restored it and sold it for about £1k. Be wary though, restoration parts for them are expensive if you want it to be origional!

I spotted this at a recent Ford show. I think it was made by a company called Kingsbury Toys, but I can't find much info on the interweb about them - it looks recent as it plastic. My first car was blue pedal car, which I think was supposed to be a Renault A110 Alpine, but you'd have to really use your imagination! I desperately wanted a battery operated one, particularly the police Range Rover you used to see in the catalogues, but it was far too expensive. This is cool too. Try these.... www.thecollectorsshop.co.uk/pedal%20cars.htmwww.pedalcarplus.com/sadflame.html

I'm liking the sound of a motorized pedal car. most likely il have to do 2, cos they all look like one seaters.
