Love the car, really did not like the way that article was written. Curious; why? I'm not convinced by the car at all. Not sure on the wheel choice, or the front end (my first thought was it looks like an R33 - article picked that up too - guess it depends on whether you like the R33 or not!); but I like the ride height and the clean, unstickered exterior. It seems to be a stock engine with no work there so it's all about the aesthetic, so that's what it must be judged by. Concept is great, execution is great, but the parts used, not so great. (caveat: IMO). It seemed to give a very "Us and them" vibe to it. Gave me the impression that the writer thinks everyone who drifts a car, does it to smash it up. Just don't really like the anti drift angle there seems to be. That said, he's entitled to his opinion of course. I do wonder what he meant by "The dregs of the car scene" however. I thought SW was all about diversity.

Kyle’s overall goal was to create what he considers a “gentleman’s car”... In today’s scene, it’s far too common for people to let their opinions rule others. After all, there’s no one right way to build a car, and that’s what Kyle is running with. “No more e-thugging. If you don’t like something, take that hate and put it into your own work, not lame comments towards other people’s. Everyone has a different style.”
^That (I paraphrased it a bit) I liked in the article. I skimmed over the negative attitude toward drifting (though I must admit I share it to some degree, but it doesn't get my nose out of joint) because it wasn't really relevant. Not sure I agree about the car being 'controversial', but I do like the idea of calling it a gentleman's car, I think in quite a few ways the restrained approach to the styling, even with those enormous wheels, suits the car very well indeed. I like cars with fuss and flounce, but I also like cars whose owners know how to hold back and do apparently very little to produce something rather more elegant and clean than I ever will.
