Some things I've done:
Pass my driving test ASAP - 2 lessons and a couple of months of self teaching in an old Sierra got me through.
When I was a teenager, driving to London was an ambition.... now I do it nearly every other week, lol.
Same goes for things like Ford Fair and visiting the Ace cafe.... all seem very familiar now, weird to think back to when they seemed so far away. Cars give you freedom, and that's got to be the best thing about them.
Be a car photographer for my fave mags - now my job.
Sometimes I even write about my own shenanigans too! ;D
Nurburgring, 4 times now, and plenty sub 10 min times as well.
Get involved in Motorsport - I did the whole British Drift Championship 2011 season. Got a couple of good results, but much more to come in this department though.
Drift (and link) up the complex at Silverstone in front of the Ford Fair grandstand.
Maxed out a car on the Autobahn. Almost touched 150 in my old 2.5 V6 Alfa 155 downhill! ;D
Euro road trips. Had a few now, always love them... (well, except for when I'm crashing on the Autobahns).
To own various cars on my list. Most significantly I'd say my Sapphire Cosworth - One of my dream cars, box ticked, happy boy. (next more mods on it!)
Drove to Gatebil in a 200BHP Mk4 Escort Estate (and deafened myself in the process), and went to Hal Far Raceway in Malta, both when working for car mags.
Some things I've still to do:
Drift the Rudskogen track at the main Gatebil event
Have some success in my Capri in the British Drift Championship
Own a Delta Integrale, DeLorean, SD1, Mk2 Granada, MK4/5 Cortina
Buy a car abroad and drive it home (DeLorean in America and my next 'to do' could kill 3 birds with one stone!)
Route 66
Finish my eternal project of a MK3 Escort.
Take an oddball sorted car to a static show..... (Horizon & Retro Rides should tick that box!)
Never to get banned for speeding again!
To be the fastest bestest superhero race & drift driver ever ever, lol (and do it in some stupid old cars at the same time of course) ;D
