hi
my carbs are being funny at the moment, when i start up it just goes stright to really high revs it only statred doing it last weekend, now its made me not being able to get it mot`ed next week now.
does any one have an idea?

1st thing i would be checking for is air leaks. that would cause it. Maybe change the 0-rings between carbs and manifold.

they are brand new come with the carbs, i might strip down clean and put back together

So have the carbs ever been set up properly on this engine?
Also, what have you done to it between last weekend and now?

Thoughts:
Idle speed screws (throttle stops) in too far Vacuum leaks Incorrect mixture Carb icing (VERY unlikey in current conditions though) Throttle cable too tight?
