1999 T reg Vauxhall Omega 2.0 litre CD Ecotec.
MOT July 19th. Just sorned as the tax runs out end of March.
Collection from Rainham, Essex.
Ok. I bought this car off of here a couple of weeks ago, and drove it from Eastliegh, near Southampton to Rainham, Essex without any issues. It drove really well.
I've been offered a later 3.0 litre Elite and don't have room for all of them, so this one has to go.
The breathers definitely need cleaning out. This is causing an oil leak which looks like it's coming from that back of the cam cover. I was going to do this myself, but seem to spend more time at work than I do at home.
The passenger side front door will not unlock. I have a replacement lock solenoid here which will come with the car. The rest unlock fine from the remote fob.
All tyres are good as are the alloys.
The aircon works!!!
Did not use any water. The gearbox behaved perfectly. Very good on petrol. The seats are cloth with no rips or tears.
It's got a Pioneer CD/Tuner fitted, but is not wired correctly, so you have to switch it on every time. No continous live. By switching two wires over on the loom, it sorts the problem.
The body work is pretty good with only minor scabs here and there. Rear arches are absolutely solid.
The downside is that apparently the car was the victim of a marital dispute, and the irate wife dented the passenger side front wing. These are only shallow and should push out with the arch liner removed. There is also a stilleto heel mark on the front of the bonnet.
So, there you go, a cheap up and running motor.
These pics are from the original ad before I bought it. I've so far managed to polish half of it. Looks nice.
