For sale my beloved RVR. 2.0 TD 4X4 Manual. 40+ mpg plus it will run on veg oil all day long. I had my own veg system on (now removed) but can show the purchaser plans for it.
Been serviced regular while I've owned it. Last oil and filter change in november. New discs and pads around that time. Newish battery. 4 brand new toyos. Its my baby Mitsi Animal. Was looking at delicas as needed something bigger but didnt think I could cope going from 40+ mg to 20+ so we've bought a modern diesel mpv . (Just waiting for the emissions light and the DPF to fail) - nothing like that to worry about on the RVR. It doesnt use any oil. Is very quiet for a diesel. Doesnt smoke at all, even when cold n just started or if pushed hard, not that I did very often. Not very quick off the mark but is feels quick once your rolling between gears.
It is like a mini Delica. seats fold into a double bed (tested that out at last years Gathering). Lots of cubby holes. Its only a 4 seater but back seat slides to increase leg room or boot space or seat will fold right over to create a large load space. I honestly don't think any other car with a wheelbase as short as the RVR can offer more interior space. It really has served me and the mrs and our young son well over the last 2 years and I've honestly got a lump in me throat typing this. This car will be sorely missed. Its been great with our baby with the sliding rear door and the fully flat floor. Getting him in and out of his car seat is a sinch even ever shrinking supermarket carpark spaces. It does need a bit of rust on one rear arch smartening up and has a few supermarket dings (from before I got it). Also the previous owner had a new clutch fitted. That would have been approx 3 years ago but I havent done more than 15-20 k miles in that time. Odo shows just under 163000 kms. Think thats about 101k miles. Not many for one of these 4d68 engines, they're bomb proof. oh and its got a full stainless exhaust. not too loud- just nice.
Will be sad to see it go.
