The facts/good bits:
40-45mpg on the road (more on the highway)
keeps up with these new cars (thanks to this nice 4 speed box)
Recent exhaust middle section
New alternator fitted in December
Cheeeeeaaaap to service (about £40 for an engine service)
CD player+ nice speakers (JBL's at the back, real good sound clarity)
All electrics+Heater works
Runs like it did back in 88'
Cool as you'd wish for a snippet
Drinks NO OIL AT ALL!!!!
I have a spare pierburg carb if someone wants it!!
The bits to be looked at:
_Accelerator a bit hesitant from very cold (when the air temp is below 10°C) but fixes up once motor is warm
_Driver's seat has the "usual" tear on the right hand side
_No rear parcel shelf
_Bodywork's not great on the passenger side (looks like someone tried to spray it chuck norris style)
_rear heated screen does not seem to work (i did say all electrics work..... slight twist to the story here...)
Overall its the real deal-apart from a b3 passat I had a few years back, ive never had such a trouble free car. I'd say its good for another 100K and has a fair few years of life left in it.....
PM me if interested.
Thanks
Macks
