Some of you may remember 'SidewaysGTMs' GTM Coupe... He's been using it day-to-day, clocked up about 20,000 miles so far and he's playing about with it at weekends recently too... Original D-series lump... New 1800 V-TEC lump complete with LSD and fully mappable w00t!!! And a Sierra rear disc conversion for good measure... He took me for a spin the other day and scared the hell out of me, it accelerates like nothing I have ever been in before. You should hear the noise it makes when the V-TEC engages ;D

Based around Mini subframes, suspension and brakes, this one was originally 998cc A series powered, GRP body with bonded in steel chassis, produced in various forms from the late 60s to the late 80s/early 90s.

Bloody Hell, Mini based and with a 1.8 VTEC? Sounds like a recipe for a post-humous driving ban! I bet driving that`d blow a few cobwebs out.

Hows he getting on with the carbonification as well? He priced it up about 8 months ago and did it again about 2 weeks ago and it worked out about 3 times more this time round So that's on hold for now even though he has the mould for it, its quick enough anyway especially when you notice the little surprise in the engine bay ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I think they suit it, better than the 12" Superlites it used to run.

its been a while hasnt it, i havnt swung by here for ages Kris [minion] ill pop over this week as working better shifts now its a busy time of year getting next years car tested. Over the last few months been working, GTM building/tweaking/development, Testing GTM at the Pod, Working on dads pro mod car, mapping my car, GTM club stuff, breaking stuff on the GTM from all the power, plus everything else i havnt had much time to breath ;D, As Minion said its brutal, and surprises a lot of people on the street, and i use the GTM everyday, done over 5000 miles in 3 months, Best Quater mile time to date is 12.9, and best MPG to date is over 40, And yes i Have nitrous, but havnt had a succesfull run up the track with it yet missed gears etc, thats next years target once i get my bigger drivshafts.
