Anyone know if it is feasible to get some made up? I've asked a couple of vehicle graphic type shops near me and they've said no. Basically I want a self adhesive sticker but as a stencil not as a sticker - the negative rather than positive if you like. No complicated shapes, just numbers. so i can sort of do this cheers

If graphics places wont do them just get some stiff card and do some yourself? find an example of the number you want, print out from your computer in the right size if drawing isn't your forte, stick onto card, cut round with a sharp knife, Et voila! re-usable stencil.

I can't understand why they wouldn't do it for you - It's exactly the same as making a sticker, only instead of weeding out the "outer" you keep that and weed out the inners. They could print it on any old crappy vinyl too.
I've done it a few times when I used to have a plotter. There are a few people on here who have plotters and do custom vinyl, Can't remember any usernames off the top of my head though.

This^^^ also, you can do it yourself, i just find some sort of shilouette/outline picture, print it onto paper/card and cut round it. you can also get cheap fablon and run it through your printer (print on the paper backing side) then cut out, stick and spray. If its text, mirror ir first

How big would you want them? I can probably make those for you without too much bother, what is the idea, you use the stencil once and paint over it?

However I do love overspray Looks like overspray, but it's just a square left by the sticky vinyl pulling the 6 months of grime off the van that I've never washed The plan was to knock it back with a buffer so it looks "aged" but I was happy with it as it was.

Easy mate exactly the same process as cutting a vinyl decal except you use spray mask instead of vinyl. No problem

Funny this thread should pop up, I've literally just finished making a stencil for my tyre lettering slightly unfortunate that when i took the pic it was sitting next to a can of carbonated goat pee

Thanks for the replies guys. I had considered DIY but with my shaky hands it's a no no. It would be easier for me to mask out than to try and cut out a cereal packet with a craft knife.....I'll give the link Nighmares said about a go. Cheers

or alternatively, bring the piece to the gathering and I'll hand letter it on for you - not as expensive as you might think and a nicer result(IMHO)
