UK cars tend to have more rust but most Imports are non turbos or autos with cloth seats.
Walk away from any with cooling problems as heads warp very easily and there isnt a lot of meat to skim off to get them flat again.
Hicas linkage (for 4 wheel steer) siezes and if your MOT tester is clued up he can fail it on that unless its been disconnected (by fitting a locking bar) most MOT testers don't notice though!
Avoid ones with mega power claims unless you can see everythings been done well and properly. There are plenty out there with hybrid this/400bhp that/remapped/HKS sticker but its all been bolted to a leaky, abused engine by someone who couldn't put a nut in a monkeys mouth!
New brakes are an advantage as discs are pricey and 2nd hand callipers get snapped up by 200SX owners. (300ZX callipers are alloy versions of 200SX ones)
If you buy an LPG one make sure its a decent conversion and not a cheap nasty one.
Handling, looks and performance are all great!
Apart from that they are no different from other cars. They seem to be out of fashion at the moment so now might be a good time to buy!
