Afternoon All,
My apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else on here.
I've been looking at the new MOT rules and they say (as i believe the old regulations did) that the tester will
3. Check the presence and security of:
a. retaining devices e.g. nuts & bolts.
b. locking devices e.g. split pins, 'R' pins.
Having not put a car with a towbar through an MOT before, I had a look and can't see any 'locking devices' on the towbar/ball assembly beyond the shake-proof washers used on the towball bolts.
What should I be looking for and where?
Thanks in advance,
Hal
