Just read the whole thread and all I can say is awesome, I would absolutely love a mk2 Granada, especially one with a beastie engine! And some proper good work there, I'll bet you can't wait to get it back on the road?

Thank you very much I wish I could say I have done all the work on it myself, but generally what I haven't done Dave has Looking forward to getting it back on the rosd very much so, just not looking forward to the fuel costs! Especially as at the mo I'm tearing about in me mams Micra which is 35quid to brim it if I'm lucky

Just had a read through. That welding is really impressive. Kudos to this "Dave". In fact my mind can't process the work on that rear window ... it's just amazing all that cutting, fabricating and welding that has to go into that. Lovely work and very inspiring. Keep it up!

He did mutter under his breathe a couple of times about the rear screen surrounds But we were both relieved that it got done ok. He did say the next worst part to do was the section behind the headlight on the drivers side inner wing, as the weld is over the chassis rail. And the inner wing is lipped over and seam sealed as well, most of which was right underneath where he needed to weld Still, it's now back on it's wheels to be pushed out for other work he has booked and awaiting me to get a differential unit to adapt to fit in the rear Oh, and to sort out some rear dampers, as when refitting the new ones (well, new about 5 years ago!) they are very crusty looking and one of them doesnt do a great deal of damping at all

love that battery tray!!!!!!! really really like that battery tray. Tis quite good, isn't it The battery strap is the bit I like the most, that hooks in to the return lip on the forward most section of the tray, and has a quick release type clamp on the rear Shall try and get some pics of the front side of it before the back end is rebuilt

Miles per gallon or smiles per gallon, I know which one I prefer! This is very true And I do enjoy smiles per gallon a lot more Not sure I'm looking forward to how different it will be with a LSD equipped diff in there for the winter months though

Haha, been there done that! That's why last time I built the full suspension unit on a dolly and just slid that under the car. Worked a treat!
Always looks great when things have a fresh one colour appearance! I loved the transformation from epoxy primer to stonechip/bodyschutz...Made it look like a car bottom again!

The Capri was stripped and dipped and came back in quite a state, should've had mine dipped really, but never expected there to be as much welding as there was Shall update with pics soon, as more was done at the weekend and Dave has proudly proclaimed all the welding is now done

Also had a spending spree the other week as well, and got some new front springs ordered up for the coilovers Was suggested to go an inch shorter open length and get some helper springs, so that's what I did at 975lb rating this time And also got a new 4channel amp to replace the old Kenwood one that lives under the passenger seat. Had done loads of revising about the dimensions and still I'm surprised by the sheer lack of size of the thing (credit card sized card for a comparision) And also took some pics of the front of the battery tray Dave made up and stuck in as well So just the wings to get blasted and then the paint man is turning up tomorrow hopefully for an estimate
