ive just got some wheels that i am trying on my imp.. the offset looks spot on and are 6j 13s these tyres are not staying gonna go 165 lo pros i think and lower it at least 2" all round.. also an option of 6j13 wellers slightly more offset on these tho. what do poeple think? I'm really liking them at the moment but its likely that i change my mind 4 or 5 times before the project is completed!! si

very nice, watch out for the shape of the tyres, they front end camber change requires quite a rounded profile. If square section tyres are used it makes the handling very unpredictable.
Looking good!

I like the wheels but I'm a bit suspicious of your tyre choice. I'd go for either a Yokohama 185/55/13 if it goes under the arches or a 175/50/13. I have a feeling the 165 tyre won't give you the look you're after as the tyre is a different shape and won't lend itself to that size wheel. There is a 165/60/13 that goes on the Ford Ka which might be close but I think the 185 would look tougher. Definitely go for that lowering job! Edit: the 185/55/13 is VERY square so watch out with what blownimp said. That 165/60 for the Ka is much rounder

I reckon the wellers would look better.

That 165/60 for the Ka is much rounder i think i will sit a couple of tyres on the rims of different sizes and have a look. the camber change on the front will no be too severe as it is an early imp and so has the higher pivots so no need to decamber I'm thinking that 165/60 or maybe 55? aspect ratio on the front. and the 175's on the rear?? its easy to get cheep competition tyres in 175 and 165 with a low'ish profile. mainly reason for the smaller tyre is to get that slight streached look and help the back slide about a bit... si

very nice, watch out for the shape of the tyres, they front end camber change requires quite a rounded profile. If square section tyres are used it makes the handling very unpredictable. From my experience with Renner 8s I agree but would add that Low profiles don't suit the back either. On most rear engined cars (especially saloons) low profile tyres tend to grip longer but then let go in an uncontrollable way . Don't go lower that 60 profile (they also look silly lower than that).
