I need a pair of "headlights" for a project. I'll bosh up a thread when I have 5 minutes. Basically I need a pair of clear white lights about 2.75" across to act as headlights. Can anyone think of a source? Just to complicate matters my electrics are 24V.
Cheers dears I'm all ears

Motorcycle custom shop, I'm sure you can get some with clear lens in about that size.
EDIT not sure about 24v bulb availability though...

If you can't get 24 volt bulbs, it's not a problem, just wire the two 12v bulbs in series. You'll lose them both if one bulb goes, though.

There's plenty of projector lamps about on ebay, most are under 70mm, but could always sit behind a clear lens from anything else, or just a disc of perspex. I was looking the other night because I'll be needing something <55mm diameter for my mini.
When you say "headlight" though, does it actually have to work properly as a headlight, or is it just to look like one for show?

it has to illuminate. Thats all. Not pass an MOT! Those ones at 70mm would work but over £100 the pair? Ouch!
I'd thought about motorbike lights... Some bikes have 2 round lights don't they...

Do they need to fit into a round hole of that size? If there's an existing light in place, tiny LED projectors could maybe be built in. I use amber versions of these as signals on a bike, very bright but they're much smaller. These are more expensive than others but they're much better made. Cheapos would be fine if they're hidden. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180846351485Not sure how they're react to 24v but it's nothing a resistor pack couldn't deal with. I only mention it because I've got a half-assed idea/project to hide white ones in a 60s headlight for use on the same bike. The original headlight is awful and has bad wiring. This seems like a good way to get the right look on the bike but not have to accept awful lights.

Lucas side lights? 3" in diameter: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200718233725Should be able to pick up some used ones for a lot less. Not very headlight shaped though - more pointy than curved.

what about those 100e round rear lamps? - I know they are pointy, but you can get flat clear lenses for them
if these are for what I think they are for - then yay!
