good work, hopefully my mojo will be coming back soon since everyone elses is coming back too!I'm thinking of selling up and starting afresh with all new toys to see if that helps
I know what you mean - I've kinda lost my mojo with one of my cars and I've toyed with getting shot of it - it's been off the road for a little while and jobs have mounted up even though it wasn't being used............. everytime I look at it I just get depressed and thats not normal for me
I did a couple of tiny jobs on it at the weekend, nothing earth shattering or major, just small jobs that take a few mins - not sure it's made much difference to how I feel about the car and there are some huge jobs to be done to it over the winter but starting it and driving it out of the garage to clean it and change the wheels over fit a few missing parts and give it an oil and filter change made it seem less daunting....
It also looks a lot more like it should do and that might have helped me too.
I also had a look underneath it while it was up in the air and I was dreading that...........
It was stored outside for a couple of years while I extended and modified my garage - once the grage was completed it got kicked outside everytime I needed space to work on the Monza last winter and I knew that that time wouldn't have been kind to it and the Monza space wouldn't have helped.
I was pleasantly surprised - yes there was a fair bit of surface rust underneath on the chassis rails and crossmembers but it was just surface rust and once I get it jet washed down to remove the road dirt and dried off it should be fairly easy to zip wheel the chassis bits and prime/paint and underseal as well as cavity wax the insides of the chassis rails.
So I'm moving away from boshing it on the bay at a 99p start and just getting shot towards just getting a few more jobs done on it and seeing if I feel different as each job is ticked off.........
Anyway enough of my shite well done Rev DDL it's nice when the motivation returns and I'm sure it will be a stunner
