I've got the above shocks on my Hijet. From what I can see the easiest way to lower it is to remove the spring seating and weld on some threads and get some Shorter Springs. I also have enough space below the unit to move the hub mount up abit to give me some more travel once lowered. First off is this a sensible idea? Secondly I'm guessing you shouldn't grind and weld with the oil in place?? From quick inspection of the top I can't see how you dismantle the shock, anyone have any experience of this? Ta

Yeah, cheers I have and in the long run I'd like to get some proper ones made up. Just want to get the front down on a shoestring for the time being.

I knew what that was without even looking. I've already cut the springs but want to go a bit lower.
