Hey gang. Ive had my 560SEC for a while now and ive decided that she needs hitting with the stick and then some shiny alloys fitting. Trouble is, I'm not sure what to go for? Heres the car And I'm stuck between these 3 sets of wheels The first is a pair of 16" Lorinsers. These are very understated and probably based around the originals Next is the fairly predictable AMG Monoblocs in 17 inch And third is the totally mad 16 inch Zender Turbo 2s What do you think?

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Zender without a second. The Lorinsers are too close to original, the AMG's have been done to death, go obscure euro wheel for the win... Please

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Zenders = potential OOOFFF'age... therefore, do it. My only other offer would be these not sure what they came on, but you can get them in 8x16. Would look the nuts with some stretched rubber

My coupe is black ,so I thought something along this theme might suit it,Note the AMG style wheels. Or the retro look...

Its tempting to tell someone else to fit crazy wheels to their car but if it was my car I`d want it to look good so i`d go with the predictable AMGs...But I`d find out if Porsche 928 telephone dials would go on first, just on the offchance. (they probably wont, and they probably wont suit the car as much as I appear to think they would)

Sorry to be so boring, but you can't beat an AMG rim on a big slab-sided car. If you want to be different GO BIG!

personally i like the amg's although they have been on one or two mercs before! they still look cool... Yep, totally agree. AMG`s have been done to death on Merc`s but really do look the part. The Lorinsers look like cheap wheeltrims and scream `mingebag model` in my humble (and usually wrong!) opinion.

German ebay seems to be the place to find them but remember that Pentas come in dozens of different styles, rim widths, offsets and at least three different manufacturers,( ATS,Fuchs,Mahle) etc .I have just sold a perfect set of ///AMG branded ATS pentas for $400 ,so be prepared to pay lots for good ones. Another thing to watch for is to buy Rims with a visible TUV number, this signifys that the rims are of decent quality and not some curse word copy made in Australia....yes,we have them here, sand cast penta copies.

AMG rims can be polished on the rims and the centers coloured to match the car..as an example

The Mrs says go with the Zenders but I'm a bit frightened that it will look wrong.......Porsche 928 teledials sound interesting! I don't fancy the origional Pentas as my SEC is a late model and I always think of them on early SEC's Those wheels that Jabbo has posted are 'MENKUL' Keep the suggestions coming fellas I feel a trip to the Fatherland coming on to hunt out something unusual!!!
