Vauxhall Astra Hatchback.
It is a diesel model with the 1700cc GM lump with 5 speed gearbox.
Overall the body work is solid, some sections of paint are poor, looks like the previous owner touched up the stone chips with a handbrush, mainly on the bonnet, around the ariel and around the rear wiper arm, and the arches, all are solid mind.
All the electric works, it has front electric windows, i will be putting the standard vauxhall stereo back in (well in glovebox), has a rev counter, power steering, manual colour coded mirrors, central locking.
All cars this age have problem and this has a weak alternator, every other month i remove the battery and charge it up, might last longer but i need the car to start in the morning and it does fine like this, takes a second to remove it. In a year ive done it 5 times actually. Also the engine has an oil leak, i recon its behind the vacuum pump that its coming from, theres an arch shaped seal there. The oil pressure light comes on when the engine is really cold (like freezing temps), after a few seconds it goes out, does flicker on till the engines properly warm, Probably due to the leaking seal. The rear screen doesnt demist on all the lines. Some centre dash bulbs are not working. In the pic the mirror cover is missing, someone nive knocked it off, i have it in the footwell.
Currently only the rear alloys are fitted, the front were poor so i fitted steel wheels on the front that made good tyres. The other 2 alloys will be included (be glad to get them out my garage), OR you can have another 2 steel wheels with good tyres BUT NOT BOTH.
Been a good car I'm still using and the mileage will increase by 60 miles a day till sold as i drive it to work, lightly used, only use during the week to go to work, also carries my mountain bike around.

I've replaced the front brake pads, fitted 2 new genuine vauxhall front wiper blades, fitted a rear new style one. Fitted new glow plugs, changed the particle filter (genuine), new air filter, new fuel filter, oil/filter change. Couple of new bulbs fitted.
Overall she is a good workhorse, only selling as we cant afford to run 2 bigger engined cars so selling them to get small cars. This is very good on fuel and as its not the new DCi engines thhis can be run on chip fat (which is what i bought it for but never did it, my previous one was great).
Being a 'R' reg she is the facelift Astra with the V grill, this model aslo comes with the nicer black interior and dashboard.
Starting price is scrap value plus tax, alloys etc... No hurry to sell so if she doesnt sell i'll wait till mot time and sell with 12 months, she will walk through it.
No real service history, only the MOTs back to 2004.
I will get pictures up once i have cleaned it, its a white Astra.
