The school has a tig inverter thingy majiggy which currently no one is able to use! So, rather than let it sit there and go to waste, I thought I would ask if I could put it to use. My DT teacher has agreed, so I was wondering if there were any good guides to TIG welding out there?
I know it will take a lot of practice but it seems a shame to let it sit there after the school spent £2k on it!

Thanks James, those are great. I also dug out an old 'Automotive Welding' guide which has a bit on it.

Nope! Still got it there. Done a bit of brazing and welding with it.

Do some welding with the oxy acetylene on monday, take some pictures of the welds and report back here. With this type of welding its practice makes perfect.
Also what kind of machine do the school have? Could you get the name and model for me?
Cheers
