Also, are they reliable etc.....I'm thinking of a 4cylinder one for economy n cheaper insurance!

reliable. yes. they rust quite badly in a few places. 4cylinders are fun to drive and reasonably frugal. a 4 pot feels more pointy at the front than a 6 pot. a 318is is probably the best alrounder but they carry a slightly higher price for that reason. 325for the soundtrack though. saying that my friend has a 3.5 in his with an m3 dog leg box. ANIMAL is not the word. thats what mine looks like this is what i want it to look like. ive had a fair amount experience of driving and repairing e30's. conclusion . good.

you can pick them up fairly cheap cant you.....ebay has been tempting me, and its corrupted me into wanting one really badly! a 2door would be good.... are they cheap to maintain? I think the touring ones are sweet too

tourings are lovely. they are cheap to maintain. easy to maintain too. rust is the enemy so have a good poke about rear arches, back panel, under fuse box, battery tray, jacking points. this was my first. unbelievably sexual and mint. turned out to be a rotten hellcrap underneath. luckily for the car i love it and am rebuilding the shell.

Thats bloody Marvelous! Expecially as I was quoted £800 to insure a 1 litre polo LOL I would be over the moon if a 318is was only an extra £100 ;D. I am 19 with 0 NCB though

That top estate gives me the major horn! honk honk!
Yeah am pretty stoked at the cheapness of my insurance, this is the first time ive ever had my own policy, but cos ive been a named driver since i passed, they've given me 4 years no claims, thankyou direct line!
Just been offered a 1.6 mk1 now, for free.....hmmm decisions....I really want some rear wheel drive action on the go!

Thats just so unfair I was a named driver for nearly two years and then I got my own policy and it made not a hapeth of difference. Oh well least I'm earning some now.

That's a pretty good price to be honest!!! Less than I pay and I have 11 years driving expierience, 4yrs NCB (but 1 sp30)!!
They did quote you properly, didn't they??? As a 318i is considerably cheaper to insure than an iS? Just checking like.
Oh and if you're good little children, maybe I'll go and do some sexy shots of my funkmobile. Good excuse to play mit my new camera. ;D
