Right it some time ago, well almost 2 years ago now my good lady bought a little 205 1.1 which has been most excellent little run about. However it looks as though I might be using it a fair bit more than I used to, so as you do been looking into upping the output of the car a bit ;D

Right it's got a 1124cc engine in it currently, I have been offered a 1587cc VTR engine with reasonable miles for £50. I haven't seen the engine yet, but the VTR obviously runs a coil pack. I've looked into the inlet and exhaust manifolds which all seem to be the same, so I'd like to retain the original dizzy and carb setup (if possible). I'm confident about being able to run the engine on a carb. But.....
Will the VTR head have the facility to take a distributor? If not can I run the 1.1 carb head on the 1.6 bottom end? If I did would the 1.1 head flow significantly worse than the 1.6 head?
