ok for my herald with the zetec engine l had the escort petrol tank, but the only place l could put this is behind the rear axel, this may have been ok on a cortina but it just didn't give me a warm feeling apart from if some one rear ends me!!!!!
So what l've got now is a tr4 baffled tank that will fit under the rear deck a bit better for rear end shunts, it baffled so l am guessing l could use a romote fuel pump like one from a mk3/4 escort efi or cav efi with filter, l'm using the orignal injection system.
So my question is does this sound like a plan? or do any of you have any other ideas?
Cheers Rob

That sound like a reasonable plan. It would depend on how well baffled the tank is as to whether you'd get away without a swirl-pot.
It may be worth looking at the fuel pumps used in mk3 golf GTI's (As well as other VW's). They're a self contained unit with a fump, small swirl-pot and I think filter in a single unit, and are good for decent power, and readily available.

Ah, fair play, yeah, that'd be the ones, digifant mk2's I guess then? For some reason I thought the mk3's had the same pumps.

Thanks lads, yer tank baffles might be ok, i'm going to give it a go, will just have to make sure l don't let it get low on fuel I had heard about the golf remote swil pot, but can't imagine you see many left on motor's in breaker yards as they are so popular for kit cars If l have problems then l will have to fit a remote swirl pot there about 80 quid, just where it put it in this little car
