Up for sale is my mk1 Punto Sporting, in fiat broom yellow. It has the factory optional abarth kit which is becoming more and more rare, especially for an original one (not a replica). This includes front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a bootlid spoiler.
In addition the vehicle has a few small modifications which are easily removed should the buyer wish.
It has a full GSR induction kit with an open cone filter, and the piping has been heat wrapped to prevent heat transfer from the radiator hoses.
It also has a full stainless Peco exhaust, which sits perfectly with the abarth rear bumper. It has had the Peco centre box removed, however this will be included with the vehicle.
The windows have all been professionally tinted to the legal limits (light smoke on the front 2, limo black on the rear 3) which suits the car well, and looks good against the yellow. to match this, the front fog lights have been sprayed with tint spray, however this can easily be removed.
The wing mirrors have been painted fiat swift red, as well as the small details in the front badge, however these can be returned to standard. Also, the sticker on the petrol flap can easily be removed if necessary.
The interior is near perfect, with a few small marks here and there, but nothing major. No rips or tears.
Mileage is currently around 118,000 miles.
The engine runs and drives well, with no nasty knocks or rattles, and pulls well for a small engine. Gearbox is also fine, no crunches or bangs when changing gear.
The engine was changed previously (around 70,000 miles), and then the head gasket replaced on this engine at around 90,000 miles. Both were completed under ownership of the previous owner.
Shortly after buying the car, I bought new plugs, leads, and fresh oil.
The car passed its last MOT with one advisory for a rear wheel bearing, and since then I had them both replaced.
Standard airbox/piping and full stainless standard exhaust will come with the car when sold.
The car currently had a kenwood head unit (around 2 years old) and vibe 6x9 speakers on the parcel shelf, these will be included with the sale.
Bad Points
-As with any car of this age, there are a few carpark marks and dings here and there.
-At some point previously it appears to have had a front end knock. The vehicle looks structurally fine, and drives as it should, so I believe it is just cosmetic damage. (the headlight / indicator do not line up perfectly with the wing) however this did not bother me
-when cold, the engine tends to big down a tad, however when it is warm it runs perfectly as it should.
-small mark in the rear passenger's door card. Easily replaceable, but it never bothered me.
-paintwork around the top edge of the abarth front bumper and side skirts is starting to crack, due to the kit being fibreglass.
The car has never let me down, and had been a joy to drive, howevAndy change in situations and moving closer to work means the punto no longer gets used.
