For sale is my 1994 Volvo 850 T5 (Turbo) Auto in Silver
174,000 miles, but you wouldn't think it for the way it drives!
Tax until end of June
MOT until mid November
Can drive it away!
I'm a member of the Volvo Owners Club, and bought this car from a fellow member to see me through the winter. Now that the weather has warmed up, and i'm moving house shortly, and i've just bought another V70, it is surplus to requirements.
Its a T5 Estate, with 225bhp as standard when new. 2.3 Turbocharged Petrol, mated with Auto gearbox. Runs absolutely fine, a joy to drive.
One or two small bits but its an 18 year old car!
I'll be very up front with its issues, of which there aren't too many.
Bad bits:
- Both sides were keyed before my ownership - its not too deep, and I have a spraycan of paint for this but a job that i've not had the weather for.
- Lacquer/paint peeling on the roof - relacquered as a prevention but will need patching up with paint.
- Some car park marks on a few of the bumper corners.
- One or two tiny bits of rust appearing - largest of which is no bigger than a 20p.
- Extremely Tiny oil leak from somewhere - it leaves about a 50p size blob on the ground after a couple of trips. Have a bottle of Forte Oil Seal Rejuvenator which i'll let go with car.
- Drivers heated seat doesn't work, however i've discovered the chair rheostat isn't actually connected! Could be a case of reattaching and all is well.
- Alloys are a bit scuffed.
- Load cover roller came out of its container. Will try and get this sorted.
- Rear wiper stopped wiping yesterday... grrr!
Good bits:
- VERY powerful, great in the winter even though its not AWD.
- Qualifies for classic car insurance. I'm 26, and it costs me about £220 a year.
- Drives very well, all electrics work (apart from drivers heated seat as above)
- Had a new engine put in around 65k ago because of flood damage. Work undertaken by Volvo, Receipt to prove.
- Recent Cambelt.
- Recent PCV (crankcase breather) system.
- Had new spark leads and plugs, and distributor cap/rotor arm all within last 2 years.
- 2 months ago I fitted a complete new set of brake disks and pads.
- Anti Roll Bar links done at same time as pads
- Loads of receipts for service history, not totally complete though.
- 2 new front tyres 6 months ago.
- Added a permanent MP3 connector through the radio.
- Long MOT until November.
I'm sure there's more good points but struggling to think of them all now!
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Test drives welcome, although please bring proof of insurance
