Another scanned pic, this one taken from Doncaster Custom car show, when it was still a custom car show and not a Max Power meet, around 1995 I think Anyone know what happened to this I remember he crashed/spun/lost it on a track while trying to reach 200 mph somewhere but cant remember what happened after that.

BEST CUSTOM CAR EVER!
I was at the Dutch House cruise on what I believe was this cars first outing. I've still got the photos somewhere. IIRC the owner moved abroad (Spain?) and took it with him to bait supercars.

I too remember the Dutch House outing. It's a stunning piece of engineering and makes you look carefully at the proportions of the body. I don't have any pictures though, maybe Rmad can help. From memory, it was a spaceframe thing, barely clothed in modified SD panels. That's got to be the only pink car I'd drive. ;D

Holy curse word, I am Loving these nostalgia threads..
Was that not geared to be able to crack 230MPH?
Pro Street 944's, Tubbed Minors, Ford Pops ad's at the back for Pop Browns Hot Rods, GMC Cyclones beating Ferrari's... Am I the only one that misses Street Machine...
I cant believe that Custom Car is still about and Street Machine is dead...SM was a far superior mag IMHO.

I always liked SM better too, maybe its cos we like a lot of creative UK and euro cars, not mainly just Rods and Yanks. With all this talk + browsing silent, and member journo's I wouldn't be surprised if something like it came back! last year i bought a load of old SM and CC and i was awe struck by this Rover, pretty much fully reworked, with a custom glass body wasn't it. Impressive. Definately reminisent of the day-glo 90's, never forget me and me mate sneaking off to our one and only Donny show aged 12 or summat in the early 90's. big secret from our folks as we trekked there armed with sticker money and a 'dayrover'!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Painted with dotted lines showing the cuts of meat

Was this rover not built with a scale factor too? Like 7/8ths or something, so whilst all the rover bits looked right they were actually one-offs? Or am I just wrong (probably)?

WHOAAA!! Tom Radford's old car! I loved this, and still do!
Wasn't it a twin turbo'd supercharged Chevy big block?
Also, I think it's mainly hewn from fibreglass, wicked car!!!

doncaster custom car show - those were the days I`ve got hundreds of pics from there, when I get through them all I will post some of the choice ones, including what was possibly the death knoll for the show in my opinion.
