well this is my daily guess it will fall into the retro category seeing it is as old as me (18) . For those that know me the corsair kinda was impractical for the time being to use during the snow/rain and i didnt want to kill it or anything silly like that so bought a 'throw away' car ticked all the boxes, looks ok, spares are cheap readily avaliable, goes pretty well too and fuel aint bad either! kinda getting attatched to it..not good dropped unkown amount on cesaro wheels already scrapes on every bump and i want this sucker lower! plans are to keep it clean and simple really, don't want to spend too much on it as i really want the corsair done for wheels day said that for the past 2 wheels day but this year that could happen .. lets see Has a bit of a doofus exhaust back box but i can just about live with it for the time being aint too bad but got something i want to make in the pipeline! went to the scrappies yesterday got a few of these in got myself a OEM leather factory wallet which was worth having for sure! got a glovebox (proper pov spec this doesnt have a cig lighter either!!), and found 2 cesaro centre caps and going to retrieve the wheels next weekend, and also got a calibra leather 5 speed gear knob as it had the soft spongy 4 speed one when it has a 5 speed put in it.. its the small things that count lol next plans are to sort out the stereo got a nice new sony unit for a sweet price from argos! just need to sort out the speaker wiring in the doors and i guess that will be sorted, then will refurb the wheels in silver again and fit opel badges just trying to locate a front one and the will sort the interior out kinda feels like the 'old' days my dad and mates said as its like a mk1 escort or the like, well nearest i will get to that in a funny way but anyway.. hope this falls in our category? And will sort out the updates for the corsair and this! cheers ;D

I like this.
The first Corsas are now 19 years old, and it's about time they started getting some proper love. With a car like this which still has a rather lowly reputation thanks to its long association with the world of dragging knuckles/happy hardcore/13 year-old girlfriends and Tupperware/P38 body panel extensions, it's doubly hard to do something cool with one........
.......but you've pulled it off. Healthy slam job, OEM GM rimmage, cleaned body....ticks all my boxes. Well done that man. ;D

Make sure you declare the wheels/suspension and exhaust to your insurance company. If you don't you may as well not bother paying any insurance as it will be invalid.
Amazing how many people don't realise that.

cheers guys yes insurance know about the wheels and stuff backbox will be going, yeah its got the OEM flavour to it and I plan on keeping it this way no big dish or any scene curse word you see just my way , I really wanted an early one earlier the better, and I just love this type of car and going to the scrapyard to get so and so bit unlike old fords where youre ebaying and looking on forums! edit for info: drop is about 45-50 mm have to be honest harshest ride ever but to be honest I can factor a harsh ride for the cool factor thanks for the replies glad everyone likes this I polished it up nicely today looks much better must get better pics of progress

what wheels are they? remind me a lot of the standard astra mk3 alloys. All I know is that they really suit that car perfectly.

small update really as its a runabout just making sure its running fine but thought i would keep it clean tidy etc.. so again trip to the scrappys previous parcel shelf had 6x9's and they were a theft hazzard and also split the shelf in half..nice so after some hunting i found the correct colour grey parcel shelf! in a right state so after some cheap halfrauds cleaner vame up much more respectable! then back on to the OEM theme and clean and simple look i bagged a mk1 tigra scuttle panel! definately cleans up the lines and i know i need to get the wiper nut cover !! tigra on top corsa b below corsa b original and tigra one ;D looks much better next thing to do is possibly refurb the wheels and get tracking done, trying to bag a genuine gsi cloth interior just a small update just i thought id share with you guys

cheers guys that one is low cant go that low as i live around sleeping policeman town and theres bumps everywhere but i plan on getting it down more! my next question is the wheels do i keep them silver or do them in a lighter shade of anthracite? also ruled out the opel badges no.1 far too expensive for a badge, and no,2 beginning to like the uk 'look' of the good ol griffin
