Very, very impressive work, i had a 1.2 swapped cinq too and always regret selling it, although it was nowhere near this quality! Bonus points for non sporting bumpers etc too, looks way better love it!

Been a while now Stuck the car on the coilovers and new rear susepension to level the car all out to a nice level that doesn't give anything away. In the 4,800 miles so far the engine has been great, just got through 1 set of new tyres, a starter and ALOT of fuel Said coilovers the car as it sits now It has also beaten a fair few larger cars Ash

decided to go against having it as a ground hugger due to future plans, so 6J steels and 195s is the way forwards

Very nice! I'd have liked to have seen those Maserati wheel on correct sized tyres on your car. I think that would have looked great. However, its looking great the way you've done it, so what do I know! I had a Cinc Sporting a few years back now and fitted a 1250 from a Punto. It was a hoot, so I can only imagine what yours is like. Great job mate!

Long time no update, alot has changed from the last update, houses jobs and the car i got some proper coilovers and drove around on them for a while decided to do a interior rebuild and upgrade with loads of sound proofing to weight the car down for its future plans so i bought another car for the rare black dash interior and towbar, yes tow bar few before pics, i spent around 25 hours over 2 days going over it all ocd including a full loom swap again to go from tucked to normal ( for future engine) time to crack on C pillar carpeted, also did b pillars flash band on roof went from a tinny sound to a deep thud when knocked layer one on the floor, also did all of the boot rear Q panels and in doors also slapped in the heater matrix too put the oem jute and bitumin bulkhead and tunnel slab on there along with foam and other pieces layer 3 on there pic of rear can see the rear Qs done floor and carpeted b-pillars ended up with around 50 of these stuffed in the rear Q panels if there was a void foam was stuffed in there slapped in the electric windows and central locking while i was there sporting vs black door card black door card, handle and pocket the dash in finally, few bits missing, speaker covers column shroud seat was changed later too Tada, how it sits now in the second picture rememer i said future engine? 500 abarth 1.4 turbo engine with 4,996 miles on it stock turbo looks abit small, ok turbo techniks T25 hybrid there too for good measure I'm aiming for a detuned 200hp to keep me going then will build the power up, theres a few over poland but none in the UK at the moment, cost of the engine, hybrid turbo and the materials for a stainless steel custom manifold are a tickle under £1700 atm :S hopefully in by the end of the year so i can progress into the next phase for the car Ash

Love this car and the Maserati wheels will live on now bolted to mine Have a question about the coilovers, whats the deal with the rear, seeing how low you got it, as all the coilover sets I have seen are just shocks and a lowered spring still on the rear, and sit nowhere near that low... Did you get some actual coilover units made to replace the shocks, or was it just a ridiculous short spring? I need more lows

Cool project, like how you've evolved your ideas.
Assuming with the upgrades and sound deadening you're trying to create a newer more comfortable version of a Cinq along with the more modern 1.4 turbo engine for daily use instead of buying a boring modern alternative?
Looking forward to the updates.

Looking forward to the updates. The idea out the sound proofing was the weigh the car down for the new engine as it already struggles to put the power down through the 6 speed gearbox, even more so via a 5 speed which i blew up, it has made the car feel abit more boring but its for the better. 1.4 turbo is to just go and claim and keep the title of the fastest road legal UK cento Ash

This is awesome. I wanted a cinq for years but i always had a renault instead. I had a good look into putting the 20v coupe turbo engine into one but it clearly just wont fit. This should be awesome with the new engine.

Haha, should be rapid.
What kind of power do the Abarth turbo engines put out and what kind of times are you looking at?

this engines standard output is 135hp but its the same as the 150hp bar a map, but you can stick a after market map on these engines completely stock upto 175hp
But with my spec, larger turbo and exhaust, lightweight flywheel and crank pulley, larger TB i will be going for a easy 200hp and 300nm going by similar spec builds, providing i can put the power down it should be running in the late 12s
