Model: Audi A3 1.8 20V T Sport
Year: 1999
Mileage: 120000
Tax: No
MOT: March 2013
Location: Norfolk
Price: 750
Additional Information:
This is a V-reg A3 5-door with a 1.8 20 valve turbo engine. It's a nice car to drive but a bit modern for me really.
It passed its MoT on Thursday needing just a track rod end and the headlight aim adjusting. It's in good condition for its age, drives well and is quite nippy considering it's the low-pressure turbo version, which I think is 150bhp. It's been de-badged and has angel eye headlights, which actually do a far better job of lighting the road ahead than some after-market headlights I've experienced. Wheels are 16" with 205/55 tyres.
It has a few faults, none of which stop it being useable: the passenger front door window needs a new regulator (a common problem on these apparently); the speedo doesn't work (I just use the sat nav to tell me how fast I'm going); the starter motor makes a noise when disengaging (mechanic mate says the bendix needs greasing, a common issue with these apparently) and the stereo volume control is temperamental. I will have a look at the speedo tomorrow to see if it's something obvious like a fuse or a wire come off the sensor. All the other electrics on the dash work, including the computer and the climate control.
Here's a few pics:
I'm after £750 for it as it is - I think this is cheap enough that it will allow a bit of leeway to get the faults fixed if need be. PM or reply to this thread for more info.
