I wondered if any of you kind gents could help with some advice?
I need to fit a power steering pump to a Cosworth BOA engine (it originally had one, but has long since been removed) and I wondered if anyone knew what pumps would fit? Is it specific to the BOA or would one from another Cologne engine fit?
Any info would be gratefully received.
Many thanks...
(oh, and if anyone has a pump for sale, please let me know?)

It's specific to the BOA (or at least the bracket is) but I'm fairly sure I have a spare one. I'll look later this AM and let you know when I get home.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

I seem to remember the pump on the cossie being speed sensitive, better check up on that or it will be super light at high speeds if it was and now isnt. .

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Thanks Popup. I don't think it's going to be too critical considering what it's going in. Handling won't be an issue particularly and I think, likewise, steering sensitivity won't be either. Thanks anyway.

Yep, I've got one spare. Tenner plus postage sound ok? I'll have to take it off and weigh it to figure that out though.

Done....yes please. Is this the complete pump & bracket? If so, don't suppose you want to sell the reservoir and pipework too if you have them? (pretty pretty please) I think I'll need to get a high pressure pipe made up (not going onto a Granny rack) but any other part of the system will be a help. Thanks again Andy.

the speed sensitive part is done by a valve in the high pressure line i believe. the pump is similar to loads of fords with the same kind of pump (sierras and smaller engined granadas i believe). as said above, a class pumps are electric, as are 106/saxo pumps. the french ones also heve a seperate loom if you get one from the scrap yard as well ;D works well enough on my mk2 granada with a 106 electro hydraulic pump
