Ah, Imp 1. Yep, the first production Imp. That Museum's not far from me, been in there loads of times. Shame, a few of the cars could do with a bit of a tidy up, but there are some interesting cars, like that late model Trabi they have. Did you miss the bubble cars they have tucked away? Everyone misses the Isettas and Heinkels they have near the bikes, cause they're not with the rest of the cars.

Trabi... There's some interesting stuff but they could do with some more unusualy cars in there. They are supposed to be relocating some time. If they have more space to fill then I might offer them my '67 Datsun 1000 for display. It's ideal for their Museum, especially as there's not a single old Japanese car in there. I saw the bubble cars upstairs with the motorbikes and bicycles. The big diplay of model ships is quite impressive there too.

My ultimate lottery-win fantasy is to open a car museum of my own, in an old disused aircraft hanger somewhere or something... Fill it full of interesting, cheap retro cars and use the land around it for club meets and shows...
Ahhh.... *drifts off*

I reckon you could possibly get a lottery grant to help set it up.

'specially after spending a lot of time at Kemble airfield about 7 years ago when my sister lived there.... HOURS of endless fun... I had my Scirocco GTX, Sis had a Mk2 8v GTI and Rob (bro-in-law) had a Mk1 1600 GTI ;D

I've given it a LOT of thought ;D I wondered about a lottery grant too - you could pitch it as 'preserving british heritage' or something. One day I'll look into it more seriously!

Ahhh.... *drifts off* Since you mention it www.machinemuseum.net/main/RAM%20History.htmNow has a full airstrip as well. And its a private museum. The owner used to be a dealer. Hunts down restorable stuff from all over. No trains yet. But everything else from drag lines to Spitfires
