Picked these up yesterday for a bargain price. ;D There Compomotive CX wheels, came off a Mk2 Escort. Anyone know how rare they are and what there worth? (NOT for sale, just wondering what exactly I have) Centre caps are only £25ish new from Compomotive Presume this means 7Jx13 ET -6 ? Anyway I'll be repainting the centres (Same colour) and polishing the lips.

Not overly rare but still a classic wheel, hard to hazard a guess on value but not a massive amount. Definitely one of my favourite 70's wheels though.

Doesn't necessarily mean 7J - J is the shape of the wheel rim (the dips for fitting the tyre, for example) - but by the look of it, yes 7x13 et-6.
Since they are Ford, PCD will be 108mm (=4.25"). But you knew that.
Can't comment on the value - the only real way to know what the market will pay is to put them on ebay with lots of decent photos, an decent description, a 10-day listing at 99p no reserve. Suffice it to say that they are not worthless.

Nice set of wheels in a good size.
I know loads of people who do a regular search on ebay for 'compomitive' but all of them are looking for a bargain. The people with money are searching for Revolutions, RS Four Spokes or Lotus Steels! (or going straight to MWS for shiny new things). I reckon to achieve any real value you'd need to fix them up and then bolt them onto something cool so people can see them looking good on an actual car. The people who are willing to pay good money for wheels often aren't the people with imagination or vision.

Cheers Guys, I'm not selling them There going on a Mk3 3-door Fiesta. Just looking at a rough value? Last set of retro wheels I sold were 6x13 Ally Cats for over €300 and I thought these would be a lot rarer. (I'm in Ireland BTW)

Those are J rim profiles but the wheels are actually ET6. The "NEG" refered to in the rim casting is negative offset Not negative inset . Negative offset is positive inset...still with me!!! and therefore inset by 6mm Hope that helps

I'm pretty sure we've got some exactly the same in the shedful of spare rims we keep the wet tyres on for the rally car. If I'm not mistaken they cost about 50 notes without tyres. Come to think of it we've got a set of 6" Allycats as well that cost about the same. Of course they weren't shiny.......

The people who are willing to pay good money for wheels often aren't the people with imagination or vision. I am finding to my (literal) cost the wide variety of wheels available in Ford stud pattern...

Assuming they can fit just into the arches (you may struggle with that offset) they will look superb . A nice set of wheels indeed .
