Hang on, it's RHD! Did Australia get RHD Mustangs, or has it been converted? Speedo in km/h too, so I'm not sure what's going on... |

Pretty sure you get RHD Mustangs in the UK, think a dealer used to convert them and isn't the Aussie Falcon the same as a Mustang underneath?

Yeah, there were conversions done here and in Aus. I'm not sure if Ford offered them as an official or licensed conversion. The dashes on a lot of yank cars are symmetrical so you can make a RHD version with them without too much deviation from pattern (although RHD Plymouths badged as Dodges have the Dodge dash, or is it the other way around?)
To be honest, anyone looking at a car which is as modified as that is and is amazed they have got a KM/H speedo in it needs to check themselves LOL.

AFAIK you can get a restricted use permit for a classic left hooker. You'll find 59 Cadillacs ans the like with LHD over there. Depends on the age of the car, and the state you're in. Yes, the states have different rules. That goes not just for whether something is LHD or not, but also to mods. So what is legal in New South Wales may be illegal in Victoria. I think in Victoria anything 25 years old or older can be properly registered if it is LHD, and anything newer has to be on club plates (90 days per year max use). The car manufacturers must be able to get an exemption - we have properly registered LHD Chevrolet Holden Volts, Chev Caprice police cars, Camaros etc at work. |

I used to love the 'Eleanor' look until I saw a few of them in the flesh. The fit of the bodykit is not as good as you would expect. Regarding this Mustang I would more than happily roll in that. Looks superb and I am normally not a fan of other types of Mustangs (I normally prefer the fastbacks). This has to be one of the nicer Mustangs that I have come across. |

Nice Mustang. I really dislike the interior though. It would be better off with a standard interior, or just all black. There are a lot of Mustangs in Australia and the vast majority of them have been converted to RHD. I don't believe that Ford Australia ever sold them, but a lot of companies have done conversions over the years.

My wife saw the first two pics and said "Ewww yellow", and then "Actually it looks good in that setting cos it looks like a daffodil!"! Personally I think it's pretty good, but I'd still not chose yellow. |
