Well my 106's life has been ended short today but did me proud Had a bit of an RTA when an old age pensioner blacked out at the wheel and side swiped me in a 40mph zone, he was coming in the opposite direction and turned straight into the side of me... 'Tommy' the trusty 106 - (i was hit by the where that junction is in the background) The Focus, Didn't come off to badly considering ....and a rim'd 106 for good measure!

In the circles that I frequent I am surprised how well the 106s survive crashes all things considered (I thought they would fold up like a tin can (I.e a 205 or a BL Mini!)! Still, cars can be replaced. I know you may have heard it all before but at least you are fine and ready to try other great cars . I'm sure you'll find another trusty and fun replacement, 106 or otherwise .

Cheers guys, yep everyone walked away which was the main thing!
Just dreading the offer off the insurance as i bet it will be hardly anything...
Not really quite sure what i'd value it at? i managed to pick it up for £320 off ebay over 18 months ago but its a relaible solid thing and does 60mpg being a diesel.....
Surely an mot'd road worthy diesel is worth something in the insurances eyes?

glad you're okay; cars are replacable I'm very much liking the 'masking' of the rear flat-top arches with those bolt-on jobbies. Makes the whole thing sit a lot nicer. *n

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Glad to hear everyone is ok, your pug's strength surprises me See if you can find similar cars for sale on dealer's forecourts. That should give you an idea of the replacement value to argue for (if you need to).

have to admit after seeing the 106 damage I was expecting less damage than that on the focus, didnt realise they held up so well.
as for the insurance. just try to find similar examples to yours to show the insurance company and argue until you get a payout you're happy with (allow for excess deduction as well)
