Removing battery acid

	The battery in my car is in the boot, and at some point in the past I think it's been leaking as there is a white/yellow furry mess underneath. I'd like to clean this up and prevent any damage to the paint. Would something like bicarbonate of soda be good to neutralise the acid?

	just use soap and water, will be fine,.

	Bi-carb soda is the recommended stuff for this job... Most soaps are acidic, by the way, though they are inhibited.
