Yes folks, another new section on RR .
We get a lot of 'what's it worth?' threads on the forum. Now we have somewhere to put them!
People starting a thread on here should do so expecting the answers to vary; People attempting to con them (a Mk1 Escort Twincam you say? Probably worth about eighty quid scrap value - I'll bring the cash round and take it off your hands), optomistic opinions (there's only one Renault 21 Savannah Bexhill-on-Sea Festival Limited Edition automatic left in the whole world - I'd take it off your hands for £1,000,000 right now but my missus would kill me/it's too far away/I've got nowhere to put it) or prepare to be offended because you know what you'd like for it/what it owes you and no one has said that price yet. You'd probably be better off putting an ad in the for sale section with a price that you think is about right...if no-one buys it, lower the price and if the car sells within minutes you might have been able to get a bit more but hey, you've got what you wanted!
People replying to requests should be polite, respectful and honest please. If you can't do that, please don't post. No need to say 'stick it on ebay with a good listing, a 99p start and no reserve' because I've just said it right here...and everyone will read this bit. Probably.
Some of the classic magazines (Classic Cars and Practical Classics for example) have price guides in the back...it's worth having a look in there if you've got a mainstream classic.
