Sorry to anyone who doesn't like seeing these types of threads - i'm just at a bit of a loss at the moment with it. I've had my Mazda for a year and a bit now, and not done much with it. As an 18 year old with 4 cars and one parking space something has to budge. It's a 1988 Mazda 323 Javelin SX, it's done 125k but it's just had the head gasket done, it's got a beige interior and flat paint but otherwise a good condition car: Now the question is, if I did the work and got it through an MOT; what would it be worth? I don't want to spend a load on it and not get my money back and I don't want it going for scrap price as I'd just kick the windows out and race it. Retro content in return: _1.4_hatchback_04.jpg) Thanks.

eBay with no reserve This will be locked shortly I imagine. Have you tried some of the Mazda classic forums?

I haven't, and if the mods want to lock it, that's ok, I don't want to be in breach of any rules.
As stated though I don't want to put it on ebay without a reserve, as I don't want the risk of it going for scrap money.

Realistically, what does the car owe you? Sell it for that.

Any idea what it would need for an MOT? If it's fairly solid and had a year's MOT then I don't think you'd struggle to get the £250 back, maybe £300.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Without an MOT it's worth nothing more than a breakers yard will give you for it. With a years ticket and if the condition is as you say £300-400.

If you end up racing it i would take those headlights out first. Quite hard to find now! Try on 323gtx.co.uk bit quiet on there now but you never know.

Without an MOT it's worth nothing more than a breakers yard will give you for it. /\This/\ How much is needed for the MOT? If it's minor jobs then get a test on it & give the paintwork a good polish, otherwise you might want to consider breaking it and just weighing in what's left.

£i'd say 3-400 with ticket maybe even £500 if you cleaned it up polished it and painted the wheels/hubcaps ect, as it sits it only worth the price of 'mixed light iron'
