Quick question, are P5B's pretty much the same shellwise as P5's ? I only ask as someone i know has found a P5 without an engine or box and was thinking about V8'ing it, i imagine they've got massive engine bays anyway ? P5 P5B

I'll try answering this one thrasher, the P5 and P5B shells themselves be it saloon or coupe are virtually the same...but,the front subframe holding the engine (3litre straight six for the P5 or 3.5 litre V8 for the P5B were different ) so the obvious answer is to change the whole subframe by unbolting it and lifting the front of the shell and wheeling it out! Then wheel the P5b subframe in and bolt up!
Probably be easier to find a V8 coupe and save the hassle, plenty still come up on ebay and theres plenty of people tripping over themselves to buy a P5 shell for you know what,too....
