Bought some lowering top mounts from phil j for the polo, go to fit them and, oh, the nuts supplied with the kit are the wrong size for the thread. I cant use the original ones as the loweringness of the new mounts mean there is less thread left on the top of the shock, not enough to fit them all on. Help please

I'm not sure what a bunch of guys on a forum are going to say that'll change the size of the nuts. Tried asking Phil? He's a lovely bloke.

He's a lovely bloke. well you never know, plus some advise on alternatives or where to get cheap bolts that will fit? I dunno there is a lot of knowledge on this forum and I often find that someone else can offer something I havnt thought of I have emailed him, but this is my daily driver and am supposed to be driving to cornwall in a week so could do with it back on the road ASAP

go get some new nuts take the top mounts with you so you know they will fit..and hardware shop car/halfords etc etc
