Those three are pretty good examples to inspire.
I'm sure 100e aficionados will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the fitment of a 105e axle is what allows those super-deep rear wheels?

Yeah, 105E axle FTW....another factor to consider is that the 100E shares its stock PCD with caravans and the Peugeot 504. And that's about it. LOL

well the one I'm getting has a modified escort crossmember and capri legs, I'm planning on getting a 105e rear axle as like you say they allow deeper wheels and are alot stronger than the standard 100e axle The last of my pictures is the exact paint i want to go for, just with some 13" superlights. could anybody wack a quick PS together for me?

Astoundingly its still about. its on SORN. DVLA claims its white now.
The banded steels looked a lot better, I had it on the nasty alloys to sell it. I kept the banded rims for the next one but sold them.

kram, your sons looks tastey, nice and subtle that would suprise alot of people id imagine, shame that it met its end how it did i am re thinking how i want to do it now, whether i want to go low on superlights with a metallic colour scheme, or low on banded steelies with a bland old colour

I have my beady eye on a one owner from new 107e car which has been languishing in a garage for at least 30 years now. I will have to be patient though. I just love these little cars.

Best thing Nick is you have a blank canvas so to speak so you can do it to whatever takes your fancy ....... As you might have already noticed with the old Fords in the family were steel n hub cap types ....
